Management Review

For many firms, a single person creates the draft invoices and then the individuals who manage each project take a look at those drafts, edit them, and approve them. This centralizes control of invoicing but still allows project-level managers the ability to verify that the invoiced amounts are appropriate.

BigTime has an entire invoicing workflow feature that facilitates this type of project-level review of draft invoices, and we talk about it in the Configuration Chapter's Draft Invoice Review section.

If you would like to use this feature, then your managers can edit, review and approve the invoices assigned to them from the Management... Review Invoices screen. Meanwhile, your billing manager can keep track of which managers have approved invoices (and which approvals are pending) from the Tools... Invoices, Review Status screen.
