BigTime has a number of workflow related settings and features which allow your management team to stay on top of system updates, timesheet or expense submissions, invoicing and more. This section of the Configuration chapter will outline some workflow basics and will help you understand what settings can be changed to tweak BigTime's defaults to work the way you'd like them to.
The chapter assumes that you're going to be making some decisions (e.g. - whether or not you'd like to create invoices in BigTime, whether your project managers or your "staff" managers should be reviewing and approving time, etc.), so it's written with those types of decisions in mind. As you dig deeper into each of the workflow options, your choices will build on the selections you make early on, so it's a good idea to have a basic understanding on how (a) your organization would like to work and (b) how BigTime works before digging too deeply into the workflow area(s) of the system.
