BigTime comes pre-configured to work with your specific industry, but its flexibility is one of the program's biggest assets. Much of that flexibility is contained in the system settings and options page(s).
Use this chapter as a general reference for the configuration options that exist in the system. Some settings may effect your project list, some may effect your timesheet, some your review/approval process, etc. In fact, many other chapters in the system will refer back to this section of the manual when they discuss how different settings effect specific areas of the system.
We've written this chapter with the administrative user in mind. It contains some fairly detailed step-by-step configuration instructions, and we don't include much in the way of "business impact" discussions. Most of the settings and options that are outlined in this chapter are referred to elsewhere in the system guide, and we've tried to refer you back to those chapters whenever possible.
