If you are a hosted customer, then the BigTime hosting team will create a website that is dedicated to your firm. Once that's completed (usually within 24 hours), you'll get a welcome email which lets you know your BigTime URL, your initial administrative login and your basic server settings.
Whether or not you are a QuickBooks user, you'll want to use the link in your welcome email to download and install the Remote Monitor. This will not only allow you to upload your QuickBooks data to the new BigTime website, it will also allow you to change settings that you would normally need access to the server to update (e.g. - library settings, login styles and more).

You can use the administrative login provided in your welcome email to login to the system. Hosted systems work just like a standard version of BigTime. Just type in the URL you were provided in the email and login. The system will ask you to change your password the very first time you login. Once you do, your system is ready to use.
Note that some hosted customers prefer to use a secure connection to the BigTime site. This will encrypt any information you send back and fourth to the server. Although a secure connection is slower than a standard HTTP connection, many firms find the security worth the performance trade off. Your hosted site is equipped with an HTTPS address (not just an HTTP address), so your users can login using either protocol. If you'd like to prevent your users from using simple HTTP, you can contact BigTime support and ask them to turn off the HTTP port for your specific web site.
