The system guide is broken down into chapters on a handful of specific business functions, so you can get detailed information on the functions that are of interest to you. If you're getting ready to create invoices, for example, you can review the invoicing chapter(s). Each of those functional chapters is broken up into basic and advanced information. The deeper you get into each chapter, the more detailed and technical they'll become.
The first three chapters were written for users who are new to BigTime. After this introduction comes a set of "business process" chapters that will assume you understand the basics we cover up front (e.g. - how menus are organized, how BigTime's screens and views are typically arranged, etc.). If you're new to the system, it's a good idea to read the introduction chapters first. Then, you can dive into specific functional chapters as you get to know the system.
