Uninstalling BigTime
You can un-install the system by removing both the BigTime Update and the BigTime system installs. Both of them appear in the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs window.
In addition to removing these installations, you may need to manually delete certain files or directories that store user-data as Windows will not delete these files automatically.
- The Microsoft SQL Server Engine (BIGTIME). The BigTime database will be removed along with the program, so make sure you backup your data and save it in a directory that won't be removed when the program is uninstalled.
- Your BigTime database. If you've added BigTime to a corporate database server, BigTime will not automatically remove the BigTime database instance. You'll need your DBA to do that manually.
- Your Program Files Directory. Because this directory contains user-data, you may need to remove the c:\Program Files\BigTime directory by hand. You may also need to remove the "HKEY_LOCAL _MACHINE\Software\Edison's Attic" registry entry by hand for the same reason.
- System Reboot. Uninstalling BigTime may require you to reboot the system on which it's installed.
