Memorizing an Invoice Style

BigTime supports dozens of printed invoice styles, and with the various combinations of sorting/grouping options, our customers can produce literally hundreds of variants on those few dozen standards. You can also create custom invoice styles, downloading a copy of the report (MDB) file to your desktop and changing formatting options like font or color.

Even so, most firms will settle on one or two invoice styles that the will use for the majority of their customers. Once you settle on the style(s) and setting(s) that you'd like to use, you can memorize those settings to make it easier to produce exactly the printed documents you'd like.

A memorized invoice style works just like a memorized report, and the process is extremely simple.

  1. Select any invoice in the system and print it.
  2. On the invoice print screen, click the "memorize this report" link at the bottom of the page (beneath the sorting/filtering options).
  3. You'll see a "memorize report" screen that allows you to pre-set the sorting and filtering options, give the memorized report a more descriptive name, and pre-set the "output format" that you'd like to use.
  4. Once you set these options, click the SAVE button to memorize them.

Printing a Memorized Invoice

Once an invoice style has been memorized, you'll get a "quick pick" screen each time you attempt to print a report that looks similar to the screen shown here.

Each of the invoice styles you've memorized will show up on this page, and you can click on the printer icon to print it using the sorting/grouping options you've saved (click on the report name "link" if you'd like to print that report with different settings).

If you'd like to print one of the other invoice formats in the system, you can click through this screen following the "click here" link at the bottom of the page. That will forward you on to the normal "print reports" screen where you can select any of the invoice styles loaded in the system.
